Tara Romano, LMSW, ACSW, LMFT, BCD
My style is warm, with a desire to continually learn and use new skills that best suit the “Hopeful” and the “hopeless.”My life has been spent working with individuals, couples and families and their experiences with sexual, substance, or physical abuse and trauma.
I have discovered that the skills learned are transferable to all populations and that our past does not determine our future. Peace and harmony are qualities that can be learned and then transmitted to current and future relationships regardless of the pain we are currently experiencing.
I primarily meet with clients in person, but I will work with you virtually, as needed.
Outside of work, I love gardening, fitness, continual learning, reading and traveling.
I am a Board Certified Diplomate in clinical social work, a certified Level II EMDR practitioner, and an alumna of the Chicago Family Institute two year post-graduate program in marriage and family therapy.
Tara offers in-person and telehealth (video or phone) appointments.
