Cindy Milton, DBA-H, LMFT
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist currently in the final phase of my PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy, specializing in supervision and education. This is my second doctoral-level degree, reflecting an ongoing commitment to both clinical work and lifelong learning. I also have experience as a university instructor and enjoy supporting developing clinicians through teaching and supervision.
I work with adolescents, adults, and couples, including members of the LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities. I’m especially mindful of how identity, cultural, social, and historical factors shape personal experience. My goal is to create an affirming, inclusive space where clients feel safe to explore growth and healing.
My approach is collaborative and compassionate. I draw from systemic, trauma-informed, and strengths-based models, tailoring each session to fit the client I am working with. I believe healing happens in connection—with ourselves and others—and that meaningful change becomes possible when we’re met with curiosity and care.
Clients often describe sessions as grounding, thoughtful, and real. You can expect a space where your story is honored, your pace is respected, and your goals guide the work we do together.
Outside the office, I enjoy creating art, training my therapy dog, and cooking.
One of my favorite quotes is: “One of the hardest lessons in life is letting go. Whether it’s guilt, anger, love, loss, or betrayal—change is never easy. We fight to hold on, and we fight to let go.” - Buddha
